Orphans Learn Family Values

One of the biggest challenges we face with the orphans we support is to prepare them for adulthood. In the orphanages, their basic needs are met; food shelter, clothing, but they are not learning what a family would be teaching them; who they are in Christ, how to handle conflicts, communication skills, relationship skills and other important information necessary for life.

In June, our team held training seminars at our center to orphans where we can take children from several nearby orphanages in the Ternopil region. Training seminars consist of 4 blocks “I am – a personality” “communication skills”, “Know your rights and be able to protect them,” “How to avoid conflicts.” The main purpose is to prepare young people for independent life, to show them an alternative direction of life based on biblical principles, to introduce Jesus Christ and to help make the right decisions for a successful life.

Children learning what families are all about.

These training sessions are intense and our team at the Training Center is closely involved in all daily activities. This provided the opportunity to make friends with the children and the teachers which had a very positive impact – who doesn’t need help with children?

The results were so positive, they have invited us to conduct similar studies in the future. We will also see these same children at our upcoming summer camps where we can continue to instill the skills they have learned.

We believe that putting biblical principles into the hearts and minds of children and teenagers, we can help them prepare for the realities of independent living, to form a valid and reliable character and devote their life to Jesus Christ in order to achieve success and fulfillment of their mission on earth!

Students with teachers learn important life skills.
