Kids In Kenya Get A Chance

October 4th, 2012 by OrphansPromise

There is a project supported by Orphan’s Promise that takes care of orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya. It is situated in Sinai, East Africa and is dedicated to helping with their education.

Our partner in this ministry is thankful that 20 of their children have been attending school. All the school fees have been paid and we look forward to the end of Academic year 2012 in less than 6 weeks.

Below are some pictures of the students and their heartfelt thanks:

Mwende’s smile says it all. She is grateful to be in school and will work hard to strengthen her skills, especially in mathematics. I feel her pain!

Million dollar smile from Mwende.

Makau is the second born in a family of six children. His parents died leaving them without any hope at all. He says that he thought he will not make it through primary let alone secondary level of education. He is finishing High School mid-October. He plans to take a degree in Agriculture. “As a sign of appreciation to Orphan’s Promise, I will take care of my siblings when I get a job”, he says.

Ready to “pay it forward”, thanks to OP.

These bright faces from four different homes have hope and are grateful that Orphan’s Promise has kept them in school. They are certain that nothing will cut short their expectations of getting the best grades in class.

These children are so grateful to attend school!

We love the success of this program. The children are flourishing and happy for the chance of an education. Please pray for them and all the children who desire and deserve to have a place in life.
