Hearing The Cry of The Poor

October 1st, 2013 by julie

“Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.”  Proverbs (21:13)

When you look into the eyes of a hungry or frightened child, you are looking into the eyes of Jesus crying out to you for help. He cries out to you in the orphaned, abandoned and at risk children, some of the most vulnerable children in the world.

Everyday around the world, our Orphan’s Promise staff care for orphans and abandoned children. At risk children who are in danger of falling into sex trafficking, becoming gang members, or drug addicts. Every 22 seconds a child ages out of an orphanage, without a safety net, these children don’t stand a chance of becoming a successful adult.

For many of the young boys and girls we are helping, Orphan’s Promise in their only hope. OP offers hope and help in the form of safe houses for children aging out of orphanages.  These children live in a family setting with house parents who love them and treat them as though they were their own by providing spiritual and physical care. OP has training centers where these young people can learn a skill to support themselves and have a chance at a productive future.

Today, Orphans Promise is at work helping provide safe homes, skills training, education, medical care and much more in over 50 countries!  We could not do the work we do without your help.  You are the key that unlocks the door to the future for orphaned, abandoned and at-risk children.

Thank you for helping us to help those crying out in His name.
